Roles & permissions
What owners, managers, assistants and viewers can do, in the dashboard and through AI assistants.
Every member has one role per workspace. The same rules apply everywhere: in the dashboard, in the API and to the AI assistants members connect.
Everything, including billing and the team.
- Plan, payments and invoices
- Invite and remove anyone
- Creators, posts and statistics
Runs the workspace day to day, without billing.
- Connect and remove creators
- Create, schedule and cancel posts
- Invite assistants and viewers
- Billing and plan changes
For VAs: uploads content and handles the posting calendar.
- Upload Reels, photos and carousels
- Create, schedule, edit and cancel posts
- See creators and statistics
- Billing
- Connecting or removing creators
- Team and workspace settings
Can look at everything, change nothing.
- See the calendar, posts and statistics
- Any change
Who can manage whom#
- The owner can invite, change and remove anyone.
- Managers can invite, change and remove assistants and viewers, but not other managers.
- Nobody can change the owner. To hand the workspace over, see Transfer ownership.
Billing stays with the owner#
Only the owner sees Plan & billing and Affiliates, and only the owner can pay, change the plan or cancel renewal. Pages a role can’t use are hidden from the sidebar, and the server refuses the action anyway.
AI assistants follow the role#
When a team member connects Claude or ChatGPT, Kinuly asks which workspace it should work in, and the assistant can never do more than that person’s role allows.
| Role | What their assistant can do |

| Assistant | Everything in the tools reference: upload content, plan, schedule, edit and cancel posts. The usual role for VAs. |
| Viewer | Look only: calendar, posts, creators and statistics. Changes are refused. |
